An exhibition entitled BELLS ARE STILL RINGING, opening in January is inseparable from Christmas, although the sentence also evokes other references (like films and songs). This group show has many different artists, and would never be a monolithic exhibition, as these artists are coming from visual arts and film, practicing painting, film, sculpture, drawing, objects, printmaking… and addressing themes related with Christmas more or less in a direct way or, in some cases, a purely speculative manner. This diversity is particularly appropriate to a notion like Christmas since, in addition to its traditional religious significance, it also refers to a series of figures consecrated in the folk imagery, to an economic dimension, and, most importantly, to the idea of community or family, where the dynamics of communication and the sharing of feelings and experiences serves as an appropriate analogy for the group work that allows the execution of an exhibition such as this one, which, of course, is open to all of those who wish to visit.
